The actress describes the filmmaker in sarcastic terms and mentions the support of her close friend during the legal conflict.
The private exchange of messages between Taylor Swift and Blake Lively was exposed in legal documents, where the singer allegedly called Justin Baldoni a "bitch" and mentioned a "tiny violin" amidst the dispute over the film It Ends with Us.
This episode occurred during the legal proceedings involving Lively and Baldoni and revealed details of the relationship between the celebrities.
The texts cited in the court filings showed that Swift wrote to Lively in December 2024 that "this bitch knows something is coming because she already pulled out her tiny violin," according to excerpts presented by Baldoni's defense.
The actress's lawyers did not deny the existence of this phrase, although they argued that it did not prove that the two were discussing the imminent publication of The New York Times report.
In another part of the exchange, Lively asked the singer to support a modified version of the film's script, even without having read it.
Justin Baldoni's legal team alleged this fact, and Taylor Swift responded that she would do anything for her friend.

Blake Lively's representatives denied that this meant unconditional support or that the artist had promoted the new draft.
The relationship between Lively and Swift was affected by the litigation, according to sources cited by People.
The messages showed that Lively called Baldoni "this asshole director of my movie," and sarcastically described him as a "clown" and "someone who now thinks he's a writer."
The star of It Ends with Us also shared with the singer that she was "so heroic today" and that she told Ryan Reynolds every detail, also assuring her that she is "the best friend in the world."

The leak also included an exchange where Lively referred to Swift and her husband Reynolds as her "dragons," in a clear allusion to Game of Thrones. She explained that these "dragons" protected both her and those she defended, assuring that everyone benefited from having them around and promising Baldoni that he too would receive this benefit.
The legal conflict began in December 2024, when Blake Lively sued Justin Baldoni for sexual harassment and retaliation.
The director denied the accusations and responded with a $400 million counterclaim, although Federal Judge Lewis J. Liman ultimately dismissed that claim in June 2025.
Despite the partial resolution of the case, the legal proceedings continued to attract public attention due to the involvement of such well-known figures.

In May 2025, Baldoni's lawyers attempted to subpoena Swift as a witness, due to the recurring mentions of her name in the conflict.
A spokesperson for the singer clarified that Taylor Swift never set foot on the film's set, did not participate in casting or creative decisions, did not compose the music, did not see any cuts or make any comments about the film, and did not even see it until weeks after its public release.
The singer's team emphasized that her involvement with It Ends with Us was limited to authorizing the use of one of her songs, as 19 other artists did, and considered the subpoena an attempt to use Taylor's name to attract media attention.
For his part, Baldoni's lawyer, Bryan Freedman, explained to TMZ that the director was only seeking to clear his name and tell his side of the story in court, stating that "he wants the truth to come out and to do it the right way."
Freedman insisted that the actor and filmmaker was waiting for his moment to speak before the court and present his version of events.

The trial was scheduled for May 18, and is expected to reveal more details about the relationship between the parties and the film's production.
