The 37 inmates were transported on a C-130 Hercules aircraft this Tuesday at noon and will be taken to the cities of Washington, Houston, New York, Pennsylvania, San Antonio, and San Diego.
37 inmates from the Altiplano prison were transferred to the United States on a C-130 Hercules aircraft with registration FAM3611, which took off this Tuesday from the Adolfo López Mateos airport in Toluca, capital of the State of Mexico, at noon.
Since early Tuesday morning, there has been movement of inmates from Altiplano prison to the outside, which has caused helicopter overflights and the presence of military vehicles outside the Altiplano prison.
This is a new extradition of inmates to the United States, the first of 2026.
Unofficial information indicates that the extradition began at 1 a.m., when citizens noticed aeronautical activity in the vicinity of the prison.
For several hours, Mexican Armed Forces aircraft landed at the Altiplano #1 Social Rehabilitation Center, located in Almoloya de Juárez, and several overflights were eventually carried out to the Toluca International Airport.
Federal sources confirmed to Infobae Mexico that 37 Mexican criminals have been handed over to the United States.

Around 11:45 a.m., a US Armed Forces aircraft took off from this airport.
This would be another extradition of drug lords to the US who have outstanding issues with the justice system of that neighboring country to the north.
These extraditions are in addition to those that the Mexican government has made to the United States in the past as part of the so-called cooperation between the two countries. García Harfuch confirms extradition of inmates to the US
For his part, the Secretary of Security and Citizen Protection, Omar García Harfuch, confirmed through his social media accounts that Mexico's Security Cabinet transferred 37 members of criminal organizations who posed a real threat to the country's security to the United States.
The action, he assured, was carried out in accordance with the National Security Law and under bilateral cooperation mechanisms, with full respect for national sovereignty.
He said that at the request of the Department of Justice, a commitment was made not to seek the death penalty.

Harfuch confirmed that the criminals were taken to the cities of Washington, Houston, New York, Pennsylvania, San Antonio, and San Diego, aboard seven aircraft of the Armed Forces.
"With this transfer, there are now 92 high-profile criminals sent to the US during this administration who will no longer be able to generate violence in our country," concluded the Secretary of Security.
It is worth noting that last Sunday, a Lockheed Martin C-130J Super Hercules military aircraft from the United States landed at the Toluca International Airport, which raised suspicions that US military actions were being carried out on Mexican territory.
However, President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo clarified on Monday at her morning press conference that the US aircraft did not involve the entry of foreign troops into Mexico, nor the carrying out of military operations on national territory.
She explained that it was an authorized flight from last October and related to training activities previously agreed upon between both countries.
