LIVE: Saudi Arabia condemns Iran’s attacks on Gulf nations and says it is ready to join coalition against Tehran
Saudi Arabia strongly condemned what it described as Iranian attacks against several Gulf countries, stating that it is prepared to join a regional and international coalition to confront Tehran.
In an official statement issued from Riyadh, Saudi authorities denounced what they called “serious attacks and flagrant violations” carried out by the Iranian regime against neighboring states, including United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait and Jordan.
Riyadh Raises Its Tone
The Saudi government said the reported attacks represent a direct threat to regional stability and global energy security. The statement emphasized that the kingdom “will not tolerate actions that endanger the sovereignty of neighboring states or the security of strategic routes,” in an apparent reference to key shipping lanes and oil infrastructure in the Gulf region.
Officials added that Saudi Arabia is closely coordinating with its allies and is assessing “all necessary measures” to respond, including participation in a broader coalition aimed at deterring further Iranian actions.

Regional Escalation
The condemnation comes amid a sharp escalation in the Middle East, following reports of missile and drone launches allegedly linked to Iran that targeted or were intercepted over parts of the Gulf. Several countries in the region have heightened their alert levels and reinforced air defense systems in response.
While there have been no consolidated official casualty figures, regional governments have confirmed that security protocols were activated and that investigations are ongoing.
International Reaction
Global powers have urged restraint and called for diplomatic efforts to prevent further deterioration. However, Saudi Arabia’s declaration that it is ready to join a coalition against Tehran could mark a significant turning point in the crisis.

Analysts warn that the formation of a military alliance against Iran would substantially increase pressure on Tehran and could trigger additional retaliation, raising the risk of a broader regional conflict.
The situation remains fluid, with developments unfolding rapidly across the Gulf.
